Money Making Secrets

Money Making Secrets!
Find out how I made it to the top ten worldwide leader board!
I have been trying to figure out for months how to earn on FanBox and I want to share all the things I have learned. I did not earn that much money right away. This has been a slow climb and not always upward. There were many times where I barely made anything....just pennies for weeks.  I never gave up. Persistence is important.   These are all things I have done and continue to do.  I want to share, so everyone can learn to make money on here because it is very possible. So here are my tips for success, so you make $$$$$.......

Money Making Secrets!

1. Make posts, read and comment on others posts!
If you are new to FanBox or are wondering what to do this is where you should start.  Just start posting.  Create blogs that interest you and  that you think might interest others. We all have different taste, so more than likely your post will be interesting to someone.  Make the post...keep an eye on it and check to see if others comment. If you get comments always respond to the comments.  This helps because you will make friends and your post will go through the feed again, so it has another opportunity to be seen.  If you don't receive a comment make one, so your post will be seen in the feed again.
2. You need fans!
You need fans because they are the ones who will see your posts, read them and make comments.  The more fans you have the better the chance someone will see your post and want to read it.  Fan people!!! Fan everyone!!! Fan someone when you read their post and whenever you see you are not a fan of someone.  If they comment on a post you have made see if you are their fan. As you look at the news feed and read blogs fan those people too.  It's only a matter of time before you have hundreds of fans. Fanbox also gives you fans which is a great bonus!
3. Experiment with Ads!
I have made many ads so far and most of them didn't work so well for me in the beginning as far as bringing me a lot of money.  Make an ad  for every post as you now have the opportunity for a knowledge investor to fund it.  You can also monitor the performance of the ad and fund it if it seems to perform well.  I personally like to see it perform at least 1%.  If I have a low click rate which to me is under 1% I will probably not fund it.  I will continue to check the performance of it and if it goes up I will fund it.  If it has a high click rate it is popular and I would run it again for a couple more days.  Check everyday to see how it does.  At the very least you are gaining exposure to new fans. You can also run ads for other peoples posts and set them for a knowledge investor to fund!
Make sure you have relevant tags for your ad.
Update:  I left this out of my initial post, but feel it is too important to omit.  I have noticed a huge jump in my fan base. If you are in the top 100 take advantage of the ads because you will get free fans! My fans have jumped  over several weeks because I have been spending more on ads and I am in the top 100.  I recommend taking advantage of this awesome feature!
4. Tags are important!
Always fill in all of your 6 tags/search terms.  If you don't it's a MISSED opportunity.  Tags are important because they match your post to users with those interests. If you don't it's a missed opportunity as your post will reach fewer users within the site.  Make sure your tags relate to the content of your post because now people can rate your post. If your tags do not relate to your post you can be rated poorly and your post will be pushed down in a search.
5. Place the dollar sign correctly!
Place the dollar sign after the first few sentences of your post. The dollar sign is where the Read More goes and you only make money after people click the read more to get to your post.
6. Be patient and consistent!
I have been on here for months and have only just started to gain some momentum. It does not always happen overnight. I have also put time into this every day.  I am on here every day either making a post or reading and commenting.  Be respectful of others and create a presence.  You may have days or weeks when you feel like you have not been earning, but don't give up!
7. Read everything FanBox!
Read every post you see about how people are making money on FanBox.  Most people are very willing to share what they have learned with you.  Many of the people on the leader board have very informative blogs about what they have done to make money. There are no tricks or secrets. It takes hard work and some creativity.
8. Ad links to your posts!
Another way to earn money is by making sure you have a link in your post.  You can link your post to another post and continue to earn money while the reader is looking at the other post.  Check out the link below for an example. ;)
9. Rate & Categorize:
You can also rate and categorize other peoples posts to earn ad credits!  This is a great way to accumulate some funds to promote your own ads.  You can also ad tags if the post has less than 6 tags. This activity increases your 'CAR' score the most. The system remembers you and how you rate, so be objective to gradually increase your score.  If you have no money this is a great way to gain some then you can fund your own ads and make more money! Got it!! ;)
10. Investing
The investing feature has only been available to us for a couple of weeks. I have been investing and diversifying my investments and seem to make a nice return. Sometimes I let Fanbox decide the return and investment and sometimes I select a minimum return usually within the parameters they give me and I select a variety of people, interests and charities to invest in.  This is how I got in the top 10 on the leader board worldwide! This has helped me make largest earnings I have ever made on the site! If you are unsure what to do you can set FanBox to control your return and your investment. Find out more about the investing feature here.
11. Comments
Always respond to people when they comment on your post.  First, you want to respond to any question they may have or just show them you appreciate them spending time on your post.  After you initially make a post it will go through the feed right away if you have no pictures, and it will take longer if you do have photos.  After you are sure it has gone through the feed once make a comment on your post and it will go through the feed again.  Check your posts and respond or make your own comment because this will help your post be seen.  Each time you comment or someone else does it goes through the news feed again for everyone to see. Especially if you are just starting out and you don't have much money to promote your posts through ads.
12. Building Community
The more you read and comment on other posts you will start to make friends. Fanbox is a community of people that support each other and we want everyone to succeed. People are very helpful on this site and are always willing to answer questions, so just ask!
13. Teacher
If you are new to the site you have two weeks to select a 'teacher' to help you navigate the site.  If someone invited you to the site go to their home page and on the bottom left side you can select them as your teacher.  You only have two weeks to after you create an account to do this. Don't worry if you missed that opportunity.....
14. Success Coaching
Fanbox is so interested in seeing people succeed that they have created a program called 'Success Coach.'  When you create an ad you have a chance at getting a success coach.  A coach can help you navigate your way through the site and provide support and encouragement for. Your coach will answer any questions you have about the site and give you suggestions to improve.  Your coach is there to help you be successful, so take advantage as this is a great opportunity! Interested in becoming a coach? If you are in the top 25 on the leaderboard in any of the various areas for earning you have the chance to be nominated to be a coach! Take a look at the full leader board  and on the right side  above the board you can use the drop down menus to view the top 25 earners in the various areas.
Important Tip:
The system remembers you, so the better you get at rating and categoring, earning from others reading your posts, earning with ads etc you will actually notice your earnings will go up! This is because of the algorithms. :)

These are all the things I have done and still do to maximize my profits from my posts.  If you are new on FanBox I hope you find this guide helpful and if you are not so new I hope you are doing all of these things or will start to!

Not Sure What Kind of Steak to Order Know the Popular Steak Cuts

The first step to being able to order a steak is to know the cuts. (Knowing the different grades of beef will be covered in the next article.)
There are many types of steaks and you should at least become familiar with the popular ones.
A steak is a piece of muscle cut from different areas of the cow. Tenderness is affected by location of a particular cut. A general rule is that the less used a cow’s muscle is, the more tender that piece of meat is when cooked. Muscles located furthest from the neck, legs and rear will be more tender. The more tender the cut, the higher the price.
Beef Cuts
The type of steak cut you choose will determine the level of flavor and tenderness of steak, amount of marbling (streaks of fat within the meat), as well as the price you’ll pay.

Filet Mignon

Filet Mignon
Also known as: Tenderloin Steak
Description: The most tender beef cut. And the smallest. And the most expensive. Mild steak taste. Buttery texture. Not the most flavorful. The cut should be thick (1.5 to 2 inches). Very little fat so it’s a good option for those watching their weight or fat intake.
Fat content: Low

Strip Steak

Strip Steak
Also known as: Kansas City Steak, New York Strip, Strip Loin Steak, Shell Steak
Description: Juicy “steak” flavor. Available boneless and bone-in. Lean, moderately tender with strong beefy flavor.
The filet mignon might be the most tender cut, but what good is tenderness if there’s no flavor? With a strip steak, you sacrifice some tenderness but get a lot more flavor.
Fat content: Medium

T-bone Steak

T-Bone Steak
Description: If you can’t decide between the filet mignon and strip steak, why not get both? A T-bone steak combines the two steaks. T-bone steak = tenderloin + strip steak connected by a T-shaped bone. If the width of the tenderloin is smaller than a golf ball (between ½ and 1.5 inches wide), it’s usually considered a T-bone.
Fat content: Medium

Porterhouse Steak

Porterhouse
Description: A bigger version of the T-bone steak. If the width of the tenderloin is larger than a golf ball (at least 1.5 inches wide), it’s generally considered a Porterhouse. Hai Chix and Mamou are good places to give this cut a try.
Fat content: Medium

Ribeye Steak

Ribeye Steak
Also known as: Delmonico steak, Scotch fillet, EntrecĂ´te
Description: The best all-around cut. The default choice of steak connoisseurs. Fine-grained steak. Rich, beefy flavorful. Considered the most juicy and flavorful of all steaks. The ribeye has more texture (not as tender) than the tenderloin. Price is usually more expensive than a strip steak, but cheaper than a filet mignon (when based on price/oz). Elbert’s Steak RoomMamouPrime 101 andStockton Place are known to serve some delicious ribeyes.
Fat content: Very High

Bone in Meat vs Boneless Meat

Bones make cooked meat taste better. If you’ve eaten sinigang or bulalo, you know the meat between the bones is special. Same goes for steaks. When you cook meat on the bone, the marrow and other substances from the bones flavor the meat, adding succulence and a depth of taste that just does not exist with a boneless cut. The bones also help keep the meat moist, and help conduct heat throughout the meat so it cooks more evenly.

Tomahawk Steak

tomahawk-steak
Also known as: Tomahawk Chop, Bone-In Ribeye, Cote du Boeuf (pronounced COAT duh BERF)
Description: The Tomahawk Steak is a bone-in ribeye steak cut with the entire rib bone intact. This long bone is frenched (trimmed of meat and fat), leaving a handle with the meat that looks like a Native American’s tomahawk.
This thing is a beauty when placed on the table and deserves its own selfie on Instagram. The Tomahawk has the largest amount of marbling, making it the most flavorful cut. It is cut based on the thickness of the bone and is typically two inches thick, weighing in between 30 and 45 ounces! Usually made for sharing due to its size. Places like l’entrecote and Chops Chicago Steakhouse offer this cut.
If you want to bond with your cavewoman (or caveman) on a date, share this piece of meat.
Fat content: Very High

Cowboy Steak

Cowboy Steak
Also known as: Tomahawk, Bone-In Ribeye
Description: Sometimes also called a Tomahawk Steak since it’s basically the same thing. It might weigh a little less, usually around 32 ounces. The biggest difference is that a Cowboy Steak is meant to be eaten alone. Like a hungry cowboy.
The bone serves as a handle, so a cowboy can hold and eat this gigantic piece of meat without a plate or utensils.
If you want to impress your cavewoman (or caveman) on a date, completely finish this steak. Then order a filet mignon for dessert.
Fat content: Very High

Flat Iron

Flat Iron Steak
Also known as: Book Steak. Butler Steak, Lifter Steak, Petite Steak, Top Blade Steak
Description: Well-marbled, tender and juicy. Second in tenderness only to tenderloin and usually about half the cost. A boneless steak that has excellent beef flavor.
Fat content: High

Prime Rib

Prime Rib
Also known as: Standing Rib Roast. Ribeye Roast
Description: Prime rib is a classic roast beef made from the rib cut, usually roasted with the bone in and served with its natural juices (au jus). Rich flavor, juicy, tender, with generous marbling throughout. Prince Albert Rotisserie is known to have a mean prime rib.
Fat content: High

Ground Beef

Ground Beef
Also known as: Minced meat, Hamburger
Description: It’s not a steak cut but used to make burger patties. A combination of cuts from the chuck, round and sirloin chopped by a meat grinder.
Fat content: Low-Medium

Other Cuts

This wonderful infographic from the Cattlemen’s Beef Board and the National Cattleman’s Beef Association from the United States contains everything you need to know about all the beef cuts and how they should be cooked.

Irresistibly Attractive

How To Be Attractive We all want to be attractive. To get to the next level in our lives, we are trying to "attract" people: investors, employees, voters, customers, suppliers, friends, a mate, Facebook friends, Twitter followers, etc. Of course, we need to turn up the attraction far beyond physical beauty and style to reach our goals in today's hyper-competitive world. As a venture capitalist, I have the unenviable job of saying no over 200 times more than I say yes. Yet despite these odds, VC's are tripping over themselves to invest in the most attractive entrepreneurs. Here are six key things the most talented entrepreneurs do. They also can be applied to whatever it is you are trying to attract in your own life:

16 things I know are true but haven’t quite learned yet There’s a difference between knowing something and living as if it were true. At the end of 2013, these truths are all lingering on that awkward threshold, for me anyway. 1) The sooner you do something, the more of your life you get to spend with that thing done — even though it takes less effort (or at least no more) than it will later. It’s the ultimate sure-thing investment and I pass it up all the time. 2) I never regret working out. I can’t count the number of times I’ve negotiated with myself to work out the next day instead of today because I’m worried it will be a “bad workout.” I seldom have a bad day on a day that I work out. 3) Whenever I’m playing with my phone I am only shortening my life. A smartphone is useful if you have a specific thing you want to do, but ninety per cent of the time the thing I want to do is avoid doing something harder than surfing Reddit. During those minutes or hours, all I’m doing is dying.

10 things non-technical users don’t understand about your software If you are writing consumer software you have to understand that you and your average user have a very different level of understanding of computers. When you first start doing support it can be a shock to realize just how vast this gulf is. It doesn’t mean that your users are stupid, just that they haven’t spent the thousands of hours in front of a computer that you have. Below I have summarized a few of the things I have come to understand about non-techies through answering thousands of support requests relating to my own table planning software. 1. Copy and paste It is very clear from many support emails I have received that users will often re-type a licence key emailed to them because they don’t know how to (or even that they can) copy and paste text. Yes, really. You can mitigate this to some extent by including instructions on how to copy and paste where relevant and making licence keys easy to type (short and without ambiguous characters, e.g. ’0′ and ‘o’). 2. The difference between web and native applications

If you currently don’t use much coconut oil in your cooking, here are a list of benefits that will likely make you want to start. All oils are not created equally, and many of them are not beneficial to the body. But others, like olive oil have been shown to add extra health benefits. Coconut oil is the same way, with plenty of side benefits to taking it that make it a top contender to be the number one oil in your kitchen. Diseases and Conditions Prevents Cancer – This is probably the biggest reason to use coconut oil instead of other less healthy oils. Promising experiments with rats show that those given coconut oil were less likely to develop tumors and more able to fight off cancer cells that were intentionally injected into them. While the correlation between rats and humans is debatable, it’s a good idea to play it on the safe side and simply buy coconut oil next time you’re out. Fights Jock Itch And Athlete’s Foot – This involves some of the topical uses of coconut oil, applying it directly to the affected area. Be sure to apply it several times a day in order to see the best results, and also add it to your diet so that you’re getting a daily intake of it as well. This is one all-natural treatment that gives you an alternative to using prescription medications and over the counter options so that you don’t have to resort to medicine to fix the problem.

INSPIRATIONAL by Storm Lasecki

No matter how hectic or stressful our days are, whether we’re sitting at our desks or waiting in line, we have the opportunity to pause and adjust our perspective. We have the opportunity to be kinder — both to ourselves and others. We have the opportunity to relax and slow down. And we have the opportunity to refocus. Even if it’s for a minute or two. Here are 20 of my favorite suggestions. Let small chores act as a stop sign to “breathe, relax and experience peace.” Sit down and “become a human still life.” Don’t do anything. Just breathe. When you’re driving, focus solely on that experience. “Feel the steering wheel, the pedals, the seat.” “Listen for the quietest sound.” Focus on your sense of smell. Take something you’d like to smell, such as a flower or food, and put it up close to your nose. Notice the changes in the aroma. Focus on the sensations in your body as you inhale and exhale. Then try to focus on other fragrances around you throughout the day.

23 Signs

10 Signs that Your Relationship is Progressing  ‘Love does not consist in gazing at each other, but in looking outward together in the same direction.’ How would you measure the progress of your relationship with the significant other? Some might view the level of understanding of each other’s personality. Some might view the efforts spent on each other as an indication. Perhaps a few others would consider the monetary value of the gifts from the guy as a form of measurement? There are probably countless other ways. Personally, I would think that its very important to always assess if the relationship is progressing… whether there’s a future together. And I would measure the progress and depth of a relationship in the following ways: … 1. There is mutual trust Trust is arguably the key fundamental factor for the survival and growth of any relationship. However, building trust takes time and effort. It is slowly developed, honed and nurtured throughout the relationship. But it could also be shattered in a moment’s folly. When you both have absolute confidence in each other’s commitment towards the relationship, that’s probably a damn good sign. No spying on and wiretapping each other’s cellphones or calendars. No thoughts that your partner plans to run off with his/her attractive single friend. You can probably feel it when there’s that level of mutual trust present. It totally rocks doesn’t it? …

The Birth of Bubba Kush

Abstract More people are using the cannabis plant as modern basic and clinical science reaffirms and extends its medicinal uses. Concomitantly, concern and opposition to smoked medicine has occurred, in part due to the known carcinogenic consequences of smoking tobacco. Are these reactions justified? While chemically very similar, there are fundamental differences in the pharmacological properties between cannabis and tobacco smoke. Cannabis smoke contains cannabinoids whereas tobacco smoke contains nicotine. Available scientific data, that examines the carcinogenic properties of inhaling smoke and its biological consequences, suggests reasons why tobacco smoke, but not cannabis smoke, may result in lung cancer. Keywords: marijuana, tobacco, cancer, smoke, cannabinoids, carcinogens, nicotine Cannabis and tobacco smoke are not equally carcinogenic Tobacco has dramatic negative consequences for those who smoke it. In addition to its high addiction potential [1], tobacco is causally associated with over 400,000 deaths yearly in the United States, and has a significant negative effect on health in general [2]. More specifically, over 140,000 lung-related deaths in 2001 were attributed to tobacco smoke [3]. Comparable consequences would naturally be expected from cannabis smoking since the burning of plant material in the form of cigarettes generates a large variety of compounds that possess numerous biological activities [4].

About FanBox by Storm Lasecki

No Money on FanBox, Make Money When I was a newbie, my world of making money revolved on boosting and IPL.  Now that I have paid off my IPL, I haven't been boosting and using IPL,  but I'm still making money!  How did I do that? Why didn't I think about this before? I guess when we were newbies, we were forced by the need to make more money at the shortest time possible.  This is the reason why we grab as much IPL than we can get, and boost everything up to the ceiling! But that is purely newbie thinking (for me)! Now that I am not a newbie anymore, ehhem... :-)   See an Album: Here Join my New Community: Here View All My Blogs: Here ... I have come to the realization that I should be calm, I should relax and take it easy, because I have proven that Fanbox will pay me for my efforts!

DIY by Storm Lasecki

DIY SAVE TIME, MONEY, AND ENERGY! MAKE YOUR OWN WOOL DRYER BALLS How would you like to never buy another fabric softener product again AND cut your laundry drying time in half??? Would you believe me if I told you these little woolen gems can do that? Wool Dryer Balls save you money, energy and time by cutting the dryer’s drying time and by eliminating the need to buy softeners. When you use 4 balls in your dryer, you can cut your dryer time by 25-50%! HOW IT WORKS: The balls circulate and separate the clothing and get the warm dry air right down to the core of the laundry load! The more balls you add, the faster the drying time. They also soften your clothesthrough gentle friction of the felted wool fibers against your clothing fibers. And as if that weren’t enough…..they LAST for YEARS!   I immediately fell in LOVE with this idea when I saw in on The Sleepy Time Gal.  They couldn’t be simpler to make (all you need is some wool yarn, and a pair of pantyhose) and I just LOVE howPRACTICAL they are! I actually think these would make a wonderful gift! (Making mental note.) Have I convinced you yet?  Good!  Let’s get started!

LIFE BOOK by Follow Storm

There are many lessons we can learn during the course of our lives that can help us overcome our problems and live in contentment. In this post I would like to share some of the greatest such lessons I have learned. For this reason I have compiled a list of 25 spiritual lessons that I find of utmost importance that anyone should try to understand and always keep in mind: Never let anyone’s behavior tell you what to do. You are a free being and responsible for your actions. We are all connected. If you help another being, you are helping yourself. If you hurt another being, you are bound to hurt yourself. Don’t be afraid of painful experiences. Pain is neither good nor bad in itself, but we can deal with it in good and bad ways. When you drop all desires and expectations about how people should be, you will never feel deceived or hurt again.
